This was before that awful vampire movie that Murphy made, which began his descent into bad movies.

I remember seeing this film when I was a younger, and not fully grasping the plot (probably becuz of my maturity at the time), But now that I am seeing it again the second time around I wll say what a good quality view into what I think is the poster-child of the black love movement in film. The main character learns that his moves arent as good as the better player, a woman. The humor and the drama are balanced out quite well in an upscale and urban social setting.

Can't decide if it wants to be humorous or serious and as a result, fails in both categories. The cast is great, but the film itself is a mess. This is one boomerang I don't want returning to me anytime soon.
