While some of the characters' stories fall short of the ones depicted in the book, those that fully deliver help make "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter" a worthy adaptation.

Decided to pick this movie up after seeing it on the library shelf & reading the back & Im so glad I did.A great movie from the start to the very sad end
