Captain Kronos - Logic Hunter

An interesting effort, but in terms of a potential franchise-starter, a complete failure.
I don't know that Hammer intended to start a franchise with this, but it's the perfect concept for one: a roaming vampire hunter travelling the countryside encountering all kinds of monsters. It could have been an "X-Files" or "Supernatural" of the 1970's.
While not executed anything near perfectly, Captain Kronos (the person) is at least a sketch of an interesting character. Sometimes he's more interested in the woman than the beast, and he has a great sense of humor about it. Some of his one-liners are laugh-out-loud funny.
But the movie itself is quite dull. And the climactic battle sequence is poorly staged. I've never seen such a stiff swashbuckler. But I'm not sure vampires …
