Had the ending been better...

I wish I liked the film more, but this is just a kind of movies you either like or not, depending on your point of view. To me, the girl was so unlikable that I was really amazed by the patience the guy (whom I found really cute despite using odd ways to seduce a girl) had with her. The moral of the film, the ending itself, was romantic, but in this kind of movies just irritating and to be honest, silly. You do not drag your viewers through the whole movie just to prove the point that everything would probably be just fine had she been more trustworthy and more open to the offered opportunities and friendships. You make an epic drama then, not such a creepy horror story, because what was then really the purpose of completely developed story of all the horror flashback scenes in between? …

An effective, atmospheric thriller that gave me the chills--literally and figuratively. I thought the two actors were brilliant. For a horror movie, it's strange to have characters that talk a lot, specifically about philosophy. I guess that's what I like most about it: it tried to do something different. Each scene is important because you never know when the filmmakers are trying to foreshadow or merely trying to establish the fact that the characters are smart, or both. What I liked best about this movie is that nature becomes a character. The blizzard gets more powerful as the gravity of the situation increases.
