"These days you can buy everything." Viewing this again for better appreciation. It is a story of Karol Karol (Zbigniew Zamachowski) and his wife Dominique (Julie Delpy), who doesn’t love him anymore. The ground for divorce is that Karol was unable to perform intercourse during the marriage. Mikołaj (Janusz Gajos) meets Karol in a subway station and asks to do a job, to kill somebody. Karol discovers that Dominique was cheating on him and becomes wealthy after his land were sold. He fakes his death to lure Dominique back from Paris.
Screenplay was good with the best quotes from the film: Karol – “I try. Times are tough.” "Where is the equality?" “We all know pain.” The pace somewhat is not to this critics liking and the main lead wasn’t that engaging. The …
