Will Ferrell these days revels in the kind of overdone comedic style that requires more manic energy than real humor; this film is no exception. It has its moments, mostly provided by the underrated Gary Cole, but many of its biggest jokes fail, particularly anything to do with its ethnic and homosexual villain, Sacha Baron Cohen. Final Grade: C+

One of the better Will Ferrell helmed comedies, and you don't even have to be a NASCAR fan to enjoy it. There are truly side-splitting moments and some truly dumb moments, but it evens out to become a highly entertaining comedy.

A great movie that has Ferrell absolutely hilarious! The whole plot is well thought out and there is never a dull moment. It is better than Anchorman and Blades of Glory. See this one with an open mind as some of it is definitely dumb.
