Plot: Based on the autobiography of Li Cunxin - who at age 11 was discovered in a poor Chinese village and was brought to Beijing to study ballet. During a cultural exchange to Texas in 1979, he falls in love with an American and shortly thereafter defects leading to a career with the Houston Ballet. -- Chris Kavan
