The Call review

Jordan Turner (Halle Berry) is a 911 operator assisting Leah (Evie Thompson) since somebody broke into her home. Leah was abducted as reported on the news. Jordan becomes affected after discovering the body was discovered buried naked. Six months pass by after the incident and Jordan teaches new employees. Casey Welson (Abigail Breslin) gets kidnapped and calls 911. Jordana takes a call from Casey. Michael Foster (Michael Eklund) is now being chased. Direction felt Hollywood and making the viewer look dumb. Not sure why they had to reiterate the murder of Leah when in fact we already know since Jordan mentioned it twice and that we have witnessed it already. A strong star fades and fizzles after the second half until the unrealistic and unsatisfying conclusion. It was flabbergasting how Jordan suddenly becomes ala Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) in Taken. Not really worth viewing for its thrills but nice to see how 911 operators work.
