Nashville review

An indoor country Woodstock for flawed people. Had high expectations for this since it was highly praised based on the magazines/online/website list. Overloaded with a huge cast but with uninteresting characters. The songs just prolonged the already dull pace. Not for everybody's taste, Nashville requires lots of time and patience. In this critics opinion, it was overrated. It may be one of the movies listed in dozens of "best of" or "greatest" films ever. The first 30minutes alone proves it to be a total confusion mixed with over emphasized country songs. Not a big fan of country music but this reviewer had to try since it has been "regarded highly" in so many lists and praised by critics. Who would enjoy somebody flaunting their body in he mirror, constant singing, a couple fighting while doing their nails, a mother teaching songs to deaf kids, a reporter being blown off by the people of a popular movie star. People fighting, swearing, and so on babbling. Robert Altman is just not for everybody. Same goes for the style of a Terry Gilliam as mentioned in this rater's previous reviews. This is evident of having two uninteresting facts about this reviewer who hates musicals and country music, all mixed to a very boring spontaneous lengthy picture. Definitely disappointing.
