Four Brothers review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 04/04/13

Evelyn Mercer (Fionnula Flanagan) has been shot down at a convenience store. The people in the neighborhood know her good nature. Bobby (Mark Wahlberg), Angel (Tyrese Gibson), Jeremiah (André Benjamin) and Jack Mercer (Garrett Hedlund) try to find the real killer while Lieutenant Green (Terrence Howard) and Detective Fowler (Josh Charles) try to resolve murders. Soundtrack and acting were descent. The plot though too unbelievable was entertaining enough. Action sequences were enjoyable and it's messages were provocative but had that "preachy feel" since the direction was unclear. Some of the acting seemed forced and gangsters felt too scripted. Still, Four Brothers is worth viewing for the action sequences, mystery aspect of the real killer and the honest portrayal of the 4 leads who played brother.
