The Constant Gardener

The Constant Gardener review
Daniel Corleone - wrote on 12/29/11

A British diplomat Justin Quayle (Ralph Fiennes) meets and falls in love with outspoken humanitarian Tessa (Rachel Weisz). Tessa looses a baby and asks Sandy, British High Commissioner, a favor. She keeps her work from Justin. Unfortunately, the relationship between Justin and Tessa was unconvincing since it was rushed. You also have a secretive wife who could have been more honest with her husband. The picture shows the situation and beauty of Africa. Pace of the story picks up when Tessa passes away mysteriously. Camera direction was astounding and performances very solid. Constant Gardener’s intent and creation was good, if only some parts were edited to make it better.
