One of the greatest suspense thrillers created in my opinion. You have a female FBI cadet Clarice Sterling (Jodie Foster), a sometimes cooperative Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) and a heinous criminal named Buffalo Bill (Jame Gyumb).

You can never flinch from the tense drama when Clarice and Hannibal converse. One cannot imagine that such a human being can torture women for personal gratification. The mood of the film is dark, yet it depicts the classical films that Alfred Hitchcock has invented. Elements of mystery and intellect were used to make the picture riveting. Of course, you have 2 powerhouse talents in Jodie and Anthony, their screen chemistry is unblemished. The soundtrack was also genius, Buffalo Bill dancing in front of the camera or Hannibal listening to classical music, just fits seamlessly.

Aside from the drama, the action was there. Wish I have seen this in theaters, just imaging the people’s reaction when the lights were off! Always a joy to view, the method of catching the thief was original. Hannibal is one of the most emulated villains in history. Jodie Foster cemented her status as one of the elite actresses. The movie won most of the major Academy Awards available because of its casting, excellent script, direction and choice of background tunes. It represents women as equally effective as men if they are dedicated, whatever evil you do, it shall come back to you, and giving favors can be rewarding. In my opinion, there is nothing negative to say about Silence of the Lambs.
