Boy, is this an odd one! Marlon Brando is up to his quirky tricks, and Elizabeth Taylor again plays a wife who is trying to keep a weak hubby in line. Julie Harris is always a bit odd and affected, but especially here. And Brian Keith? He's always just doing the Brian Keith "Family Affair" thing.
I waded through the Carson McCullers book, too. Both are worthy of some interest just for something different and seldom seen.
