Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle

Pretty Good Stoner Comedy

This is a pretty good film regardless of its subject matter, which I normally wouldn't consider funny because getting high in films most often means slapstick comedy. John Cho and Kal Penn have great chemistry so I think that's one of the main reasons why this movie worked. The way they interacted never seemed forced. The appearance of Neil Patrick Harris added to the outgoing tone. I used to watch his show called "Doogie Howser, M.D." and it made me laugh when they made references to that (and the fact that he was a ladies' man in the film but in reality, he's into men). I loved that he could handle the jokes about himself. Other highlights include the television commercial scene, the "Extreme" knuckleheads, and the Koreans at the university. Even though most of the stuff that happened in the film were random, it's all in good fun.
