Could've Been Great

Even though its running time is only about an hour and ten minutes, it managed to accomplish a lot because each scene is relevant to the bigger picture. I believed the main character's infatuation toward his stepmother because the camera manages to capture a number of close-ups, which made it all the more personal. I also believed that the character had a superior education, not only because of the things he says, but the way he moved and reacted to situations. Aaron Stanford did a good job bringing his character into life. There were some cliches scattered about but the exact subtle comedic timing made up for it. If the movie had been a bit more polished and ran longer, it could've been a four-star movie. Still, this is not bad at all--maybe it's not meant to be great or perfect; maybe it's just meant to worth something.
