Dot the I

Plot Twists Abound

Like "American Psycho," every time I watch this movie, I feel like there's something seriously missing. But after a few minutes of rumination, one should realize that therein lies its brilliance. Some people are just empty black holes; this movie excels in showing that. This is not an ordinary romantic comedy because it comments on a range of topics: from society's desperation to find "one true love" to society's obsession with realism. Like "Match Point," this is the kind of film that changes tones half-way through it. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a penchant for films that are different. Sure, there are plotholes but 98% of movies nowadays have such inconsistencies, one will just learn to forgive.
