I didn't laugh with it, I laughed at it. I don't see why the first one was such a hit because it was such a weak movie. This one is still full of stereotypes and tedious songs, not to mention an over-and-done-with storyline. Don't get me started with its continuity issues and terrible, terrible acting. That said, I didn't hate this movie. I simply disliked it. I guess I didn't go over that line because I laughed with friends while watching this film. Granted, we laughed about how stupid it was but a laugh is a laugh. I just wish they would stop the madness of this "High School Musical" franchise and start releasing films that are deeper and a lot more original. It makes me wonder what the hell happened to Disney Channel. There's going to be a third one but I will not plan on watching it--unless some unlikely force compels me to watch it (like what happened with this one). The best thing about this movie is Ryan, played by Lucas Grabeel. But even then he plays a stereotypical gay character... so it's kind of insulting. I lost a few brain cells after seeing this film. If you can afford it, go ahead and do so... if you're unbelievably bored (though some may argue it will bore you even more).
