Funny People

Only if you're bored

Forgettable. Mildly funny at times but nothing standout. Good for a one time entertainment but nothing new, nothing particularly memorable. Adam Sandler however, while he was able to break out of his typecasted physical comedy role of his youth, then on to the young romantic comedy roles, then on to the more adult father roles has yet again broken his mold and for the first time playing a character you end up loathing more and more as the movie goes on. This just might be the best acting he's ever done because it was so off par with everthing else he has really taken on it's clear to see why he chose a project like this, one where he was able to maintain his roots while still doing something completely new for him. The Seth Rogen character is yet again just Seth Rogen thrown in a different circumstance, while he plays the same character in every role I've seen him in it almost always manages to be funny. But again it's the same guy from Pineapple Express, same guy from Knocked Up, same guy from 40 Year old Virgin, you could easily see the same character in every role, he doesn't have alot of range, thats what happens when actors personalities come across more so than the characters personality on film. Decent watch but forgetable, see it only if you're bored.
