Down with Love

Unique movie

Ok I will admit it here, yeah this is a complete chick flick... and I thought it was great. The thing about this movie is that it is not your average run of the mill love story. The design of this movie was awesome. The era that they shot this for was the 1960's and they decided to make the movie like a movie that you would have seen in the 60's. The clothing, the set designs, even the motion picture screens behind the windows of cars moving in odd directions, everything about this film screamed 60's and yet it was made in 2003. The colors were extremely vibrant in the same way that they would be played overly saturated using a faux technicolor technique. Zellweger and McGregor play off of eachother brilliantly and David Hyde Pierce plays the same type of neurotic character that we have come to know him for on the TV show Frasier.
Overall this movie was fun because of how different it was from the other releases.
