Filmed in 2007, released in 2011, TikTok notoriety in 2020 - Megan is Missing tries to be a found footage cautionary tale but comes across as mostly exploitative with after-school special vibes. Yes, the last 20 minutes are unsettling but you have to sit though that awful setup first and honestly - not worth it.
