There is a deep divide between a great cast and just the worst characters imaginable. I think Kathryn Newton and Lana Condor are damn talented actresses but given the characters are best described as insipid, vapid, entitled, grating and just plain dumb, well, you'll probably find yourself mostly rooting for the shark. The only people I felt truly sorry for were the tour guides. Plus the special effects were mediocre at best. You can do so much better.
