A solid action/thriller with Rami Malek taking on a more intensive role, though not exactly John McClane as he uses his brains more than his brawn. Some political angles as well, but it's mainly a cat-and-mouse revenge game with a highly-intelligent CIA analyst utilizing his skills to track down and kill the people responsible for his wife's death while also blackmailing his higher-ups with damning information about black ops. It's not perfect but it still makes for some good viewing - and a great supporting cast led by Holt McCallany, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Stuhlbarg and Jon Bernthal.
