Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson are certainly on a different wavelength and their films reflect that. Something in the Dirt is like every random theory (aliens, secret societies, other dimensions) mixed with a buddy comedy mixed with a documentary. It appeals to my sense of weirdness but I can tell this is not a film wide masses would embrace. I dig this Dirt - dark and comedic and WTF moments and warts and all.
