Filmed on a shoe-string budget with mostly child actors, this French film none-the-less makes an impression. The story is simple: a young girl pretends to be a boy when moving to a new neighborhood for the summer, knowing that school will start and the secret revealed. It feels genuine with a lesson about gender identity everyone can take away.
