Gaston Lachaille (Louis Jourdan) was a playboy who always felt bored with his life. The only person that made him feel happy was a young girl named Gigi (Leslie Caron). The lives of these two Parisians have their ups and downs in the Best Picture winning film, “Gigi.”

Being one of my favorite movie musicals, I will most undoubtedly give this film a great review. There are so many wonderful things about this musical. From the songs to the singing to the story, it is up-beat and just marvelous to watch.

The music is very French and elegant, with love on every note. The colors and the scenery catch the eye, just as they should. The story is full of heart, and the characters are even more so.

I can’t say how wonderful I believe “Gigi” is without forcing a copy of it into your DVD player. It’s a wonderful, cheery musical that I’m sure you will enjoy.
