Very funny film that does it's best not to take itself seriously and poke fun at many Hollywood cliches. Some may view this as offensive material, but in all actuality, Tropic Thunder is actually pointing out how the perceptions are ridiculous rather than the material itself. Coming off of last week's disappointing Pineapple Express, here is an action comedy that knows what kind of movie it is from start to finish, embraces it, and does it's best to entertain you, where it succeeds greatly.
My only complaint is that for some reason, every movie Jack Black is in has to have a scene of him in his underwear. It's not great to look at.
