Ari Aster has essentially made "Nashville" for the COVID-era; a provocative, volatile, if also a little messy fever dream accounting for the safety protocols, hypocrisy, misinformation, political disagreements, racial justice protests, police brutality, and the other stuff we all remember swimming beneath the surface of cultural discourse in Pandemic America.
