This "Superman" line of movies lost its way when it lost Richard Donner. Its direction, its weight, and its punchiness are all gone from the first two. The story and new villain are bland. The romance between Clark and Lana is weak compared to his previous couplingwith Margot Kidder's Lois Lane. And why is Richard Pryor in so much of this? He's literally on screen more times than superhero who's name makes up half the title.
