I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Ruggles of Red Gap. Both Charles Laughton & Charles Ruggles give stand-out, hilarious performances as ducks out of water on both sides of the pond. The screenplay is witty. For 1935, the melodrama is quite minimal. The supporting cast is great, with the exception of Zasu Pitts.
The title doesn't quite sell the film, but I highly recommend a viewing!
