Awfully cheap looking monster movie that somehow is directed by horror icon Tobe Hooper. The cgi reptile is laughable looking. Acting is bad, no surprise there. But the characters are all obnoxious jerks. There is a smidge of an interesting idea where we learn the backstory about the title monster. Why that is not the main plot is a good question.
