Downsizing

Downszining gets downgraded.

What an incredibly boring movie. ***spoiler*** there are no adventures. No threats, nothing to make this remotely interesting. It might stimulate some conversations with those who have seen it. Would you do it? Why or why not? The possibilities of the conversation you have, would make for a better story than this dredge. It's a well done piece of film. Matt Damon is spot on as a sympathetic 30 something unsure of what he really wants. Christopher Waltz is impeccable as his new neighbor in the downsized community. But the lack of any reason to care what happens next might have you wondering when something is going to happen, and then when is this thing over. Some of the special effects are good, but kind of misplaced as well, a lot of perspective shots so you get the sense of the difference between the before and after effect of the "downsizing" but after that, it might as well have been a nonissue.
