The Guilt Trip (2012)

time killer

The salesman Andy Brewser(Seth Rogen) decides to take his mother Joice (Barbra Streisan) on a road trip across the whole country and tries to sell his latest invention: A cleaner which has no bacteria in it. Problem is: He can't attract people buying it...

The movie is about the relationship of mother to son. Seth Rogen fits in his role and is convincing, while Barbra Streisand acts quite bad and can't fit into the role as the mother. The direction of Anne Fletcher (The Proposal, 27 Dresses) is neither great nor bad. The screenplay is written cute. The dialogues are fine, the characters good evolved and explained. Joice Brewster's character really reminded me of my mom. I thought: "wait. I heard that before" It's not an entertaining road trip movie like "Little Miss Sunshine" or "Thelma and Louise"
It is a time killer
