Nine year old Frankie never knew his father. His mother had always moved them from town to town, running away from Frankies father, who caused an accident which made Frankie deaf. All the while she is keeping this a secret, she writes to Frankie, pretending to be his father, and allowing him to think that he can't see him because he's on a ship called ACCRA. But her plan to protect him is ruined when Frankie finds out the ACCRA is scheduled to arrive in their coastal town, so she hires a stranger to pretend to be his father.

This movie is sortta sad, and sortta funny, but nothing really special. People that love harmless, happy ending movies, that don't have any real drama, will love this movie, but anyone other than that, won't.
