This movie was a big disapointment after reading the book. I find that Aussie movies are never as good as hollywood ones, don't ask me why. I should probably like them, coz I'm Australia myself, but still, they just have a certain vibe to them that makes me not enjoy them as much other hollywood ones....
Looking For Alibrandi is about a girl, Alibrandi, who finds that she doesn't fit in anywhere. According to her, she is too much of a 'wog' for the people at school, and not enough of one in her family. But after someone she was close to passes away, she is shown the importance of life, and how those little things doesn't matter. So she gets on with her life.
This movie was missing something. Don't ask me what coz I don't know lol.
