Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist

Slow. A Little Too Slow.

Well, I wasn't very excited to see this movie, Sure i wasn't dissapointed, but I was thinking more along the lines of Blindness or Religulous, but sadly, the theatre was not showing either of the two movies. So I decided to give Nick and Norah a chance.

Im aware this movie was made after the best selling teen novel of the same name, and it shows because movies based on novels usually just don't pan out like the book, in order to fit everything in and not well ruin it for everybody. Throughout the film there are many plotholes and such, which slowed the movie down more than Cera's damned Ugo car.

Nick and his band are performing a gig at a small nyc club, when Norah and her friends show up for the party, and in desperate situations, Norah gets Nick to go along with the whole thing and be her "Boyfriend for 5 minutes." Nick, Norah, and the band, The Jerkoffs end up losing the Drunken Friend, and at the same time they look for an after hours underground concert featuring everyone's favourite band 'Where's Fluffy.'

The movie definetly does drag, and is hard to find the solid plot under all the teenage drinking and mischief. The soundtrack is a big part of the film, and if your in to underground alternative/indy music, then alone on that you may like this film. But if you can relate, then you would probably enjoy this film.

For me? Too slow. Way too slow, an hour and a half, felt alot like 2 and a half hours, and without character development, besides Judgement Impairment from the Drunk Girl who loses her gum all the time, This movie will have you snoozin' at the bottom of your seat.

Well, If you liked Juno, which it seems alot like ( besides the fact Cera stars), or just another rowdy teenage party flick, then Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist could be for you. This is just my review and opinion. Sure I didn't neccesarily like it much, doesn't mean you'll hate it aswell.

Now, Im going to be behind, seeing as so many movies were released on the October 3rd weekend, Im going to have to fit in many films next weekend, including Max Payne, Body Of Lies, Religulous, and so on. I'll be pretty busy. Shit!

FINAL SCORE :::: 46% ::::
