Limelight (1952)

Sad & Lovely

By far not Chaplin's best, but quite good it still is. Limelight has a sad tone in regards to show business and love, which seems to have been mirroring Chaplin's feelings about his own career.

Claire Bloom's performance is a slight blemish on the film as a whole, but sweet moments like seeing Buster Keaton and Charlie making funny on stage together make this more than worth seeing.
