Darabont nearly drops the ball...

I went into this expecting a little more from Darabont than what I was getting.
There are several weak points...for example, why does Thomas Jane's character completely forget the fact that his wife is out there alone? The dialogue is a little too t.v. movie.
However, the unexpected ending makes up for the slow, lagging middle in which Marcia Gay Harden's character makes you want to punch something

Good review of a very unattentive movie until the unique and awesome ending. I am a huge Stephen King and Darabont fan and this movie pretty much disappointed me as well. Your list is very interesting and I will have to see some of your top movies. If you see fit, add me as a friend.
