not great, but not bad either

Me and my brother went to see this one expecting it to be a big dumb action movie (kind of like the expendables,) but what we got instead was a politically driven Crime drama, and not a bad on either.
The movie stars Johnson, in arguably his best role to date, as a successful construction worker who’s son is arrested for drug dealing (despite the fact he was, no joking, just holding the drugs for friend.) the movie follows Johnson on some surprisingly intriguing events that he hopes will lead to his sons release.
While maybe not the smartest drug-drama ever (not even close) this is an entertaining movie and potentially a good drug lesson movie for younger teens (I certainly wouldn’t let a 13 year old see Traffic or Requiem for a Dream, but this is a lot tamer.) not a great movie, but not a bad on either.

Good to know there is at least one halfway decent movie in 2013 so far (of course, I've only seen A Good Day to Die Hard so far - and I agree with your assessment). I have to add that if you want a 13-year-old to swear off drugs forever - I might show them Requiem for a Dream.
