Pornography in the 1930's

More like a filmed play than a movie, this drama has very little going on despite the interesting premise of 1930's pornography being filmed by a once famous silent director; Richard Dreyfuss goes overboard, but Jessica Harper finds just the right notes as the gangster's moll who's more interesting than she first appears. Lots of nudity, lots of pointless chatter. Final Grade: C
