Sabrina (1995)

Charming Cinderella like story!

Harrison Ford and Greg Kinnear play two sons named Linus and David Larrabee of a wealthy and prominent Long Island family. Linus is the obsessed business tycoon while his charming playboy brother David hasn't worked a day in his life. He has no other ambition than to indulge in a series of romances with any attractive woman that crosses his path. David is maneuvered into proposing to his latest love interest by his wily brother after he expresses admiration for her skills as a physician. It turns out that the family of David's fiancée has control of a company Linus has sought to incorporate into his own business empire and LInus is unwilling to lose the support that this affluent family promises provided the wedding goes through.

All that goes out the window when the chauffeur's daughter Sabrina (played by Julia Ormond) returns from Paris where she trained as a fashion photographer. The gawky Sabrina has bloomed from an ugly duckling girl into a beautiful graceful woman and the frivolous David is ready to cast his fiancée aside for a fling with the vulnerable and fragile Sabrina, who has always adored him and spent much of her teenage years in a tree spying on the Larabee family members and their lavish parties.

Linus is of course determined not to let that happen and intervenes after David is injured. He is so effective in outmaneuvering his business rivals that Sabrina is considered dead meat in his opinion. His plan is to seduce Sabrina to prevent breaking David's engagement. Ironically and hilariously Sabrina (quoting what she has heard from others) is skeptical of his sudden interest describing him as "the world's only living heart donor".

The plan almost works out but Linus hasn't counted on the feelings he's starting to have for her himself...If you like romantic movies and old fashioned fairy tales then you’ll love this one and Nancy Marchand is charming as Linus's and David's mom,
