The Expendables

A wet-dream tough guy ensemble!

“Oh... and by the way... He wants to be president”

A group of elite mercenaries (Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture and Terry Crews) who call themselves “The Expendables” are men for hire who would get the job done at any means necessary. When a mysterious man, who calls himself Mr. Church (Uncredited Cameo by Bruce Willis) hires "The Expendables" to overthrow a South American dictator General Garza (David Zayas) little do they realize that the real target is ex-CIA agent James Munroe (Eric Roberts) as well as his two henchman's (one of the best WWE wrestlers Stone Cold Steve Austin and Gary Daniels).

Meanwhile, "The Expendables" gets help from a mysterious woman Sandra (Gisele Itié), who is their contact for the mission. When they escape the island and Sandra elects to stay behind, Sylvester must choose to either walk away and save his own life - or attempt a suicidal rescue mission that might just save his soul.

The story is predictable but never boring and everyone including best UFC fighter, Randy Couture and Mickey Rourke do the best they can and with the special appearances of Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger parodying themselves the movie is quite enjoyable and worth viewing at least once for the nostalgia about the good old days and viewing those beautiful tattoos. The two female characters in the movie (Statham's girl and Stallone's love interest) have one task to do, look pretty and helpless and they both do that perfectly with a bit of cleavage thrown in for good measure.

The action scenes are insane to put it simply, they're all fast paced, full of decapitations, limbs lost and just what the doctor would prescribe to any action fan. You get exactly what you're expecting! Slam Bang Action and Nothing More!
