Johnny English Reborn

For Fans of Rowan Atkinson!!

Remaining faithful to the original premise, Johnny English plays MI7 agent, who tends to be clumsy. In this story, we first see English re-training in an Oriental Shaolin temple as penance for an earlier failed mission in Mozambique.

When MI-7 chief Pamela Thornton (Gillian Anderson) learns of an attempt against the Chinese premier's life, she assigns English to stop a group of international assassins before they eliminate a world leader and cause global chaos.

With one shot at redemption, English must now employ the latest in the usual array of hi-tech gadgets to unravel a web of conspiracy that permeates the KGB, CIA and even MI-7. He has a young sidekick in Agent Tucker (Daniel Kaluuva) and some technical help from behavior expert Kate Summer (Rosamund Pike). Along the way English gets himself into mishap after funny mishap. But despite all this he does everything he can to save the nation he loves.

The character of Johnny English does have some of the physical, slapstick comedy of Mr. Bean. The movie parodies the Secret Service, Government, and James Bond genre. It is predictable stuff but I’ll recommend it to anyone who wants to see a fun spy movie that just happens to star a funny person--Rowan Atkinson. He's a little older and grayer, but this movie is filled with his classic physical comedy as well as his verbal comedy.
