This movie was made as homage to The Three Stooges, with the same style of slapstick physical antics, sound effects and the one-liners, many of their fans have come to love. However while there were scenes that are laugh out loud funny, at times, the movie does tend to drag a little.

The story begins with the three babies wrapped in a blanket thrown on the doorstep of a Catholic orphanage where they are raised by the nuns (Jane Lynch, Jennifer Hudson and Larry David). The boys eventually grow up into dark-haired Moe (Chris Diamontopoulos), the frizzy hair Larry (Sean Hayes) and burly Curly (Will Sasso). As they grow up, Moe almost gets adopted but turns it down saying they're a package deal. Nobody wants that particular package and the prospective parents end up taking an entirely different kid. So, the boys spend the next 25 years at the orphanage working as the maintenance men.

Soon hard times befall the orphanage and the three friends volunteer to go out into the world looking to raise $830,000.00 to pull the orphanage from debt. Having no clue how to raise the cash necessary to save the orphanage, the clueless trio get suckered into a plot to kill a wealthy man by his greedy bodacious wife Lydia (Sofia Vergara) and her lover Mac (Craig Bierko). More wackiness ensues with Moe getting a part on the reality TV series that made Snooki famous, Jersey Shore.

So the question remains: Is the movie funny? I guess it depends on one’s individual taste and memories of that long gone era.
