I got a very Legion vibe from watching the trailers, which is not a good thing. I agree the movie was much too slow for such an outlandish premise - other than that crazy old lady, I can honestly say nothing much else sticks with me from that movie. I'll probably rent Priest some day, but won't see in the theater.

See, I watch this trailer, and I think "Aww yeah! Priests vs Vampires! Some fun genre trash." but then I remember the director. He's not very well known, but his one "notable" movie is Legion, a movie that somehow made "Angels vs Zombies" horrifical ly boring. I watch this trailer now, and I just think about how boring it's probably going to be.

this looked cool, and then i realized how much they've bastardized the license. instead of a undead priest fighting demons in the old west, they turned it into a guy named priest who fights something we haven't seen in films for a long time now....f*cking vampires. The trailer still looks pretty cool but they should have just abandoned the license altogether for someone to make a faithful movie out of. the comics are really good, dark and creepy.
