While the film follows a lot of horror tropes you've seen before it still does an excellent job of making you question what's hiding in the shadows. Stephen King adaptations have mostly been on the upswing and this is another solid choice for horror fans.

It recycles almost every trait from both the modern horror film log and Stephen King library, but "The Boogeyman" is a proficiently eerie feature with traces of sadness mixed in with the fear.
