Maybe it's not the world of pure imagination it wants to be but for a family-friendly, eye-grabbing film, it does a decent job. Timothée Chalamet handles the role and songs well and the supporting cast is vibrant and fun. Plus, Hugh Grant as the scene-stealing Oompa Loompa is the icing on top. It was entertaining enough for me.

Okay so let me start by saying I didnt know what to expect from this film but let me say it's just as everyone says it's wonderful uplifting exciting funny smart and the characters are very loveable it's such a wonderful film I highly recommend it

"Wonka" doesn't work as an introduction to the popular Gene Wilder favorite, and I didn't like it as an original revision either. The sets and choreography are eye-catching, but the songs are forgettable and most of the characters are complete bores. It also tries way to hard to be funny and the story never goes anywhere unexpected.
