You know, when I watched 'Army of the Dead', my biggest take away from that movie was "wow this German safecracker needs his own movie!"

Despite my love for all things zombies, I actually found Army of Thieves more enjoyable than Army of the Dead - mostly due to the fact this cast seemed like they were having much more fun and worked so well together. While the plot is mix of Fast & Furious unreality and every heist movie ever (mostly Ocean's 11 and such) - it's still a good time. Plus, Matthias Schweighöfer and Nathalie Emmanuel are just the best together. It's a good time - why not enjoy it?

"Army of Thieves" is more whimsical in presentation than its zombie counterpart, but it doesn't have the plot momentum or memorable cast that every great heist films need.
