Plot: Alice is a dutiful single mother as well as an expert plant breeder for a corporation that develops new species. A new plant she has engineered, a crimson flower, is both beautiful and beneficial: at the right temperature as well as regular feeding and communication, the flower makes its owner happy. Against policy, she takes a sample home for her son, Joe - thus "Little Joe" is born but as the flower grows, she begins to suspect the benign natures hides a sinister secret. -- Chris Kavan
