Cute cartoon with good voice talent, but Valiant is not a compelling character and the script is way too ordinary. Final Grade: C+

Excellent voice cast....

The setting is 1944 and England and France are at war. Valiant (Ewan McGregor) is a plucky young pigeon who wants more out of his life so he decides to leave the nest and join the Great Britain's Royal Air Force Homing Pigeon Service to serve his country during its time of need. On the way he is joined by smelly and sneaky pigeon Bugsy (Ricky Gervais) who wants to get away from his con victims. They soon arrive at the base to begin training with Sergeant (Jim Broadbent). Together, they join a troop of misfits and take on a German brigade of falcons, headed by lead villain vulture; the eye-patch wearing General Von Talon (voiced by Tim Curry) who is trying to find out loads of secrets from captured heroic captain Mercury (John Cleese). Not quite up to par with Ice Age, Shrek or The Incredi...
