Mr. T Pity's the Fool Who Watches the A-Team Movie

Seems an original cast member of the A-Team is unhappy with the gritty new A-Team film.

Mr. T, aka the original B.A. Barracus, is not a fan of the direction the new film has taken: “People die in the film and there's plenty of sex but when we did it, no one got hurt and it was all played for fun and family entertainment. These seem to be elements nobody is interested in anymore.”

I remember the original A-Team - where a thousand bullets and countless explosions could go off, but everyone escaped scratch-free - good or bad. It was a cheesy kind of action - fun, family-friendly and always with a good message.

Yet if you try to make that movie today, the box office appeal would be limited. A PG A-Team would be a disappointment. I guess I don't know why you need Jessica Biel in tight clothing either, other than to appeal to males - but it's the A-Team - action is expected, why throw in eye candy?

Adaptations are rarely a smooth transition, and I can see why they had to change certain aspects of the A-Team. I just hope we avoid another Avengers or Mod Squad. While I don't have super high hopes for the film, I at least want to be entertained, even if means losing some of the cheesy appeal.
